How to Stay Accountable (Kym’s Kuest)

It is so important that we keep our bodies moving,

It is so important that we keep our bodies moving,

not only for our physical health but for our mental health as well. Getting your blood flowing and working your muscles is a great way to start your day and can set you on the right foot for whatever you need to accomplish that day. I know I’m not the only one who feels like the hardest thing about exercise is just getting started. I mean just look at all those fitness bloggers on IG and how perfect they look and how effortlessly they move -- it can be intimidating! Seeing those images are meant to inspire but I know they can also serve to intimidate and send you (or me if I’m being honest) to the fridge for another bite of ice cream.

That’s why I’m writing this blog post, so put down that pint of rum raisin and say with me, “I am going to get up and move today!”. Feels good, right? Here’s the thing about exercise -- the hardest part is just starting. Once you put that first foot forward the other will follow and before you know it your heart is pumping, the sweat is flowing and the endorphins are kicking! So lets start! I want this place to be a safe place where we can lift each other up, celebrate our victories and rally around our challenges.

Here on this page we can hold each other accountable without judgement but with grace and acceptance in knowing that when we make strides to better our health with a fitness routine we are not only making ourselves stronger but we are making ourselves stronger for our partners, families and loved ones. So let’s state our intentions, set our goals and break through those plateaus because we have the strength within ourselves to succeed and to lift each other up! Lace up those shoes and get moving! Share with me your goals and routines and we can track our progress together!
