Every Fall, the pumpkin obsession begins all over again, and everyone goes crazy over anything and everything pumpkin. From Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Pumpkin Pie, to Pumpkin Scented Candles and Pumpkin Cereal, you cannot escape the pumpkin craze. Well, did you know that pumpkin has some great health benefits, and I have two fantastic and easy DIYs that you can do at home, that will leave you with glowing skin, and silky smooth hair.

Pumpkin Can Help You Achieve Smooth, Silky Hair

Pumpkin can make a wonderful hair conditioner, and you most likely already have the ingredients at home. You mix ½ cup of pumpkin puree, ¼ cup plain yogurt and 2 tablespoons of honey together and then put it in your hair for 20-30 minutes.

Pumpkin Puree: Contains Potassium, which aids in hair regrowth
Yogurt: Natural anti-fungal and fights dandriff
Honey: Natural humectant, helps attract moisture

DIY Pumpkin Bath Bomb (Perfect For After a Long Day)

Bath bombs are a fun and great way to relax after a long day because they are packed with soothing scents and essential oils, but they are also $8-$10 and you can only use them once. I did my research and came up with a great recipe to make your very own Pumpkin Bath Bomb at home:

Ingredients:
Add corn starch, baking soda and citric acid powder.
Mix dry ingredients.
Add canola oil, pumpkin pie spice, pumpkin seed oil and mica powder.
Mix ingredients together.
Use hands to make sure its properly mixed.
Check to make sure mixture holds.
Put in bath bomb mold.
After you mold the bath bombs, let them sit for 24 hours until they are completely dry.

These would also make great gifts!
You can add other essential oils depending on the scent and health benefits you want. So for Christmas you can add peppermint, and in the Summer you can add lavender. Another little tip to pretty them up is to take some extra mica powder and mix it with a little rubbing alcohol. It creates a paint that you can use to decorate the bath bombs with any colors.

Pumpkin Seed Oil: Contains zinc and vitamin E, that helps improve skin tone, acne and promotes skin rejuvination.
Pumpkin Pie Spice: Mix of cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. Cinnamon is antimicrobial, ginger has anti-aging properties and nutmeg has curative properties for skin.
